Well Windows 7 ultimate is better but not worth it for the price you pay, all you get is some extra shit that you'll never use with the ultimate edition, stay with Home Premium. I've got Ultimate on this laptop and Home Premium on my other laptop and I don't notice a thing different.

Dude there isa huge difference between DirectX 10 and DirectX 11, here's a video benchmark showing the huge difference between the 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PR40GwRtFyw and Bad Company 2 uses DirectX 11. Also that's only early stuff, DirectX 11 is guarenteed to look even better in the next 2 years. If you go Nvidia you're buying old hardware which means you will have to upgrade again in about 6 months, where are you getting all your suggestions from, send me a link to the forums you're on.

Those 2 motherboards are X58 Chipset and don't support the CPU and ram I told you to get, you're looking for P55 motherboards. Although the one I put down is pretty good.
